I think the use of blogs in a second language class is a good tool that can enable students to share their opinions, increase their writing skills and work collaboratively. Blogs can also aid shy students who are hesitant to participate in class discussion by providing an opportunity for them to state their opinions. I personally think that the use of blogs in a second language classroom can be very beneficial for both teachers and students.
I agree! Using blogs is a way for students to work collaboratively outside the classroom. Blogs could also make use of other multimedia tools that aid learning, such as videos and audio samples. There are a number of ways to use blogs for the integration of writing with the other 3 skills.
I also agree. I think using blogs is a fun way for L2 learners to practice their writing while building their learning community. I also think it expands the audience which is also important, and it gives shy students a nice way to get involved, as Mounia mentioned.
I think it is an awesome idea! It gives us students a way to communicate our ideas outside of class and also a way to discuss things about cultural issues and such that we sometimes do not have time for in class.

ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea. It's a good way to discuss cultural topics, but then eventually we could type in the language.
